Demetra Johnson has been working in safety and health and the mining industry for 12 years. Demetra is the HSEC (Health, Safety, Environment & Community Director for Turner Mining Group. She is the Founder and CEO of her own Safety Consulting and Training business, Pro Safe Alliance LLC. She has a M.S. in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and is pursuing her Doctoral of Education through Baylor University. She is a Certified Safety Professional, Certified Mine Safety Professional and a Safety Management Specialist. She is an Associate Auditor for ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 and an OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer for General and Construction Industry. Demetra serves as Vice Chair for development and question writing for Society for Mining Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) for the CMSP exam. She Chairs the sub-committee for marketing and outreach for the CMSP Exam. She also serves on the Advisory Counsel for ASSP TCPS (training and communication practice specialty).
